CrowdSpot in collaboration with the City of Melbourne released a month ago, My Eco-City. It is an simple interactive map of Melbourne where users can create pins, imparting their knowledge of all the amazing projects taking place that assist in reducing Melbourne's footprint. [LINK TO MY ECO-CITY]
“Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody.”
- Jane Jacobs (The Death and Life of Great American Cities)
The pins or spots are broken into various colours and be placed all across the city!
I think is a brilliant idea coinciding perfectly with the mission of 'Urban Growth', communicating real physical initiatives, activities, businesses and groups that are being more environmentally responsible.
A simple and easy pin placement with no need register hopeful encourages people to share and interact with the map.
SO GET SHARING!
So everyone can know of all the cool eco-spots around Melbourne!

I take it other cities have similar initiatives, if you know of any please share them. How are they different? What makes them better or not so good?
